| After receiving a lucky tip off (thanks Elliot, via Noel) that this tram had not long been seen on the M62 Motorway whilst on delivery, a quick trip by bus (with Noel) was made to the Metrolink tram depot just off Queens Road to wait and see if it had already turned up. Luckily, it hadn't, so we waited by the entrance and this is the series of shots taken of the low loader being reversed first, then driven into the Metrolink compound.
The heavy haulage was being provided by a MAN tractor unit, provided by haulage firm Prangl from Austria. There was also an Iveco van being used to help with the traffic for this delivery, and this vehicle can be seen in one of the photos below. |
